Aramis – optical 3D deformation analysis

The ARAMIS two-camera system manufactured by GOM enables detailed information to be gained regarding damage development and the propagation of cracks during loading. This is important for visualising the behaviour of materials and, in later phases, for the validation of computer models and the calibration of their parameters.

3D robotised measuring system

Our 3D robotised measurement system enables the automatised monitoring of the positions of points in real time and the automatised long-term monitoring of the positions of points with subsequent processing.

Portable high-speed measuring system for road profiling

The Hawkeye 1000 device is used for determining MPD macrotexture values and IRI measurements for road surfaces.

Segmented roller compactor for the manufacture of test specimens

A segmented roller compactor is a device for compacting asphalt mixtures into rectangular moulds. It is possible to alter the thickness of the slabs to be compacted.

Multifunctional high-shear laboratory mixer

The Silverson L5M laboratory mixer is controlled with the aid of a multifunctional display and buttons suitable for the mixing of liquids at volumes from 1 ml to 12 litres. The mixer can be used for mixing, emulsifying, homogenizing, disintegrating and dissolving.

KINEXUS rotational rheometer

The device is used in monitoring the properties of asphalt binders, allowing these properties to be described across the whole range of temperatures and loading scenarios and enabling the design and evaluation of potential binders for improving the properties of asphalts.

Equipment for determining the aging resistance of asphalt binders via the RTFOT method

The aging of asphalt binders in layers of asphalt mixtures has become a widely discussed problem in recent years. One of the possible ways of simulating the aging of asphalt binders in the laboratory is the RTFOT (Rolling Thin Film Oven Test) method.

Georadar

Georadar "sees" into solid materials. It differentiates between materials and layers according to their conductivity and permittivity. It is a non-destructive method of testing. Measurement is mainly carried out from the earth’s surface. The measured data is immediately transformed into an image on which the structure and divisions of materials below the place of measurement are clearly visible.

XRD with Rietveld refinement, high temperature chambers and SAXS

The Empyrean XRD combined with Data Collector control software is a multifunctional device for analysis using X-ray diffraction. In its basic configuration the instrument is equipped with a goniometer with a Cu K α X-ray tube and a PIXcel 3D detector.

Mettler Toledo DSC1 analytical instrument

The Mettler Toledo TGA/DSC 1 instrument is intended for DTA analysis, which is a dynamic heat analysis method based on measuring the difference in temperature between a tested material and an inert reference material (in the case of this instrument a virtual reference material is used) simultaneously heated in an oven.
